Android Jelly Bean ROM for Venerable HTC HD2

Don't underestimate the HTC HD2 because of the phone is a couple of years old, the age doesn't mean it can't run the latest Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Because recently an XDA forum member, smokin901 released a Jelly Bean port for HTC HD2.

The main reason of the release is simply showing to the world that HD2 is still beastly enough to run the Android latest version, therefore it's not necessarily for people to use daily.

But since the port was on XDA, it will probably end up being developed by other members and hopefully we will be seeing the more stable version sometime in the near future.

Anyway, here is two list contains the things that are working and are not working on Jelly Bean port on HD2.

Working:
  • Mobile Data 3G/2G
  • Calls
  • WiFi
  • Bluetooth
  • SMS
  • Sound check download page for fix ————————– Credit Bexton
  • Video Playback
  • USB Mass Storage ———– Credit Bexton

And not working:
  • Camera
  • Browser works but display is messed up.
  • Error when Installing some Apps

If you are interested, or a developer who wants to try this ROM up or helping to develop it to make it stabler, then you are invited to head to the original thread.
